The new submarine ride, Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage, has opened at Disneyland in Anaheim, California. Disneyland's newest ride features characters from the highly successful 2003 Disney/Pixar film, Finding Nemo.
Using a combination of animatronics, underwater projection, and other technologies, Disney Imagineers bring the characters and the underwater experience to life. The submarines serve as research vessels in which Disneyland Guests explore an active undersea volcano. Along the way, the submarines encounter beautiful coral as well as their favorite Finding Nemo characters.
In the mid-60s, the Submarine Voyage ride was a popular underwater attraction featuring fish and mermaids. The Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage uses the same lagoon and submarines in order to bring a new story to life.
This ride is unique and is already very popular. Expect to wait in long lines in order to experience it. Your best bet is to get to the Park as soon as it opens and go directly for this ride. You'll still have a wait in line, but it won't be nearly as long as it will mid-day. Enjoy!
