This was the first year that golf has instituted a playoffs system. Over Labor Day weekend, Boston was home to the 2nd event, The Deutsche Bank Championship in the PGA TOUR Playoffs. All of the high-profile players were in town and competed including Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Ernie Els, and Adam Scott.There were a week's worth of events going on for families and children in the New England area in addition to the competition.
